Silver Otter Stud Earrings
Silver Otter Stud Earrings
The European Otter (Lutra Lutra) is adapted to life on both land and in water. They have webbed feet for swimming, dense fur for warmth, and can close their ears and nose underwater.
They primarily hunt fish but also eat waterbirds, amphibians & crustaceans. Otters construct underground burrows commonly known as a 'holt.' A group of otters is known as a 'romp', 'lodge' or a 'family'. The resurgence of the otter across Britain represents a remarkable conservation achievement. On the brink of extinction in the late 1950s, their population gradually rebounded following a hunting ban in 1978 and improvements in river water quality.
Crafted in sterling silver, these beautiful little Otter Stud earrings will make a wonderful addition to any jewellery collection, or make a treasured gift for someone special.
