Sterling Silver Running Hare Pendant
Sterling Silver Running Hare Pendant
The Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus), known for its distinctive black-tipped ears and remarkable speed, reaching up to 45 mph, was introduced to the UK during Roman times.
Now a naturalised species, it thrives in open farmland and woodland fringes, sheltering in shallow ground depressions called 'forms.' Most visible in early spring during the breeding season, female hares can produce three to four litters per year, each with two to four young, called leverets. The brown hare's unique characteristics and behaviour make it a fascinating presence in the British countryside.
Crafted in sterling silver, this beautiful Hare pendant necklace will make a wonderful addition to any jewellery collection, or make a treasured gift for someone special.
